Important Information about Solid Wood Furniture
All of Meier Brother's Furniture is hand crafted out of the finest solid woods
available. Solid wood is the most exquisite material for crafting fine furniture, but also needs some extra care and attention. Solid wood is always moving, called wood movement. All our furniture is designed and
crafted keeping wood movement in mind. It is very important that you follow a few simple rules to insure that your piece does not sustain any damage.
- Do not place furniture near any heating source (above heating vents or close to heater or fireplaces).
- Do not place furniture in direct sunlight.
- Do not place furniture in any damp areas (bathrooms, basements)
- Check humidity and temperature in rooms regularly, especially when the season changes.
Our recommendation is to place your piece of furniture in a room with fairly even humidity and temperature throughout the year. Rule of thumb: "if it is comfortable for a human, it is comfortable for
your furniture piece."
